It was November 2017 that Chance and Amanda got engaged. They were out celebrating their 4-year dating anniversary. Every year to celebrate, they would drive to The Woodlands to have dinner at PF Chang’s. The couple would grab a slice of their favorite cheesecake to-go from the Cheesecake Factory and then walk the tree-lit path on the waterway. This would later lead to their rustic fall wedding theme.
Amanda remembers telling Chance on their very first dating anniversary at the walkway in the woodlands is beautiful and would be an ideal place to get engaged. She said the lights on the water gave off such a romantic vibe. Chance had remembered! On their 4-year dating anniversary they had walked across the bridge and he spun her around and got down on one knee.
As soon as Amanda said yes, her siblings popped out their phones snapping pictures and congratulating them. It was such a special moment for the couple and each time they drive past that bridge in Houston, TX, they always say “there’s our spot!”
These two kiddos have my heart. I knew right away when I met Amanda on our tour that we would get along great! Since their engagement story began in the Fall. Amanda and Chance were determined to make their wedding day happen the same time the following year. The couple love the outdoors and wanted to be sure to include Fall wedding colors for their rustic indoor outdoor-wedding at Houston’s Winery wedding venue.
Amanda chose adorable decor for her rustic fall wedding theme. Her November wedding included mini pumpkins! She had many other cute fall wedding décor as you can see here. We thought it was charming. Amanda did much of the planning as this was a Venue-rental only package. Those mini pumpkin centerpieces were the talk of the evening!
Amanda had done a fabulous job putting her Pinterest fall wedding inspired ideas together! She wanted her colors to pop against the burgundy dresses she chose for the Bridesmaid dresses. For her Bridal bouquet she wanted it to be solely all white and we absolutely loved this idea! Look how this glowing Bride stands out.
The couple wanted a unique wedding venue. Amanda and Chance used google search for ‘rustic wedding venues near me.’ The couple toured one other wedding venue and we were their second venue they came to tour.
Amanda says “we chose Emery’s Buffalo Creek for our wedding ceremony and reception venue because not long into our tour we just felt this was THE PLACE! Everything about it was so welcoming and beautiful.”
On her wedding day, Amanda’s Bridal party had so much fun in the Emery’s Bridal Suite. The girls shared so many giggles watching each other get done up with hair and makeup. Kristin, the hair and makeup artist, did such a wonderful job. The roomy Bridal Suite was perfect as it helped us get many beautiful pictures.
Amanda said “I remember when it came time for me to line up and walk down the aisle at Emery’s. I met up with my brother, the music started, and this beam of light just started shining down from Heaven (it was a little overcast on our day). My brother turned to me and said, ‘there’s dad, he’s here’ – tears filled my eyes because I just knew that was my father, showing me, he was here with us spiritually on my wedding day.
Amanda goes on the say. “my brother and I hugged, then walked down the aisle. When I saw Chance, he had tears in his eyes. It made my heart smile to see the love he had written all over his face” The Fall wedding ceremony at Emery’s Buffalo Creek was pretty short and sweet, the way the couple likes it. They were ready to start their wedding celebration with their loved ones.
Amanda said, “Chance and I’s ceremony was like a dream”. They had Amanda’s dad’s best friend, Jack, officiate the ceremony. It made the experience so much more personal and special.
Jack asked the couple to write down what they loved about each other separately and send it to him. It was such a sweet surprise to for the couple to hear the officiant repeat the thoughts of one another. Chance had words about Amanda that he found endearing and lovable. Amanda had beautiful things to say about Chance too. It was such an endearing November ceremony at Houston’s only Wedding winery venue.
After the ceremony, Jessica, the coordinator at Emery’s Buffalo Creek put Amanda and Chance in the Bridal Suite. Jessica likes for couples to have some alone time even if it is just for ten minutes. It allows the couple to let everything sink in and breathe again before the reception. The couple said they were “so appreciative of those ten minutes because it was so nice to just be together and relish in the fact that we did it!”
Amanda and Chance did their grand entry and then went straight to the wedding march. They were so glad they did the grand march this way because it made people laugh and it broke the ice for the rest of the evening.
The reception celebration continued with the couple visiting with their friends and family, dancing, listening to wedding speeches and enjoying sweets! Amanda said “my sister’s wedding speech was so great! I both laughed and cried!”
The couple said “I have received SO MANY compliments on my wedding at Emery’s Buffalo Creek and almost 2 years later people still talk about how much fun they had at my rustic fall themed wedding – they remember how you could feel the love that day. I’m so thankful for Emery’s, Patti and Jessica because they gave us our dream day and made sure everything I ever wanted and envisioned happened”
