There is a beginning to every love story and boy do these two have a good one! From horses and rodeoing, to roping and a proposal on a bucking horse… their love story screams Texas! This rodeo romance would eventually lead to a beautiful Texas wedding in the hill country.
Blake and Jordan met at a college rodeo in Uvalde, Texas back in 2015. Blake enjoyed team roping, steer wrestling, and tie-down roping and Jordan was a competitive barrel racer in college at the time.
We are pretty sure Jordan spotted her cowboy while he was roping and wanted him in her life. Meanwhile, Blake watched a gorgeous girl turning and burning on her horse and thought, “boy, she is like Texas, and she likes me!” Their horses would end up being the perfect matchmakers for this cowboy and cowgirl!
After an unfaltering courtship, Blake decided he wanted to propose to her while out riding at the ranch. Blake was on Jordan’s colt and waiting to come up on a pretty spot so he could propose, but the colt bucked as if to say HURRY! So Blake popped the question while on a literal bucking horse! Just imagine this sweet and funny scene! Honestly, does it get any more Texas than that? Oh, and btw, she said “yes”, obviously!
Now that the wedding wheels were in motion, it was time for the couple to find the perfect place to start their forever after. Blake and Jordan didn’t want just any standard venue or hall, though. Just like the type of people they are, the couple wanted a venue that had plenty of movement. “We want our wedding to be fun and outdoorsy and we loved the wine barrels you have!” Emery’s Buffalo Creek winery wedding venue was a perfect place for their guests to enjoy a proper Texas wedding with sweeping countryside views and touches of rustic elegance.
And we’re ok with that! Don’t these men look handsome in their hats, jeans, and sweet blush ties? I’d say yes! If you’ve been considering hats and boots for your Texas wedding, here’s your sign!
We have to say, ceremony music is one of the sweetest sounds.
A prelude to what is about to happen.
Butterflies in your stomach.
Can you feel it?
We can. And we love that Jordan’s very own cousin, Regan Woodley, was a part of this sweet sound.
With expert planning built into our All-inclusive package, Jordan and Blake only had to count down to the big day. They said it was one of the best experiences they’d had! Here’s what Jordan had to say.
“My husband and I got married here last weekend and it was the most perfect, stress free wedding experience ever! Jessica is an awesome wedding coordinator who was very helpful throughout the entire process of planning our day as well as the day of. Patti and her husband are the owners of this beautiful venue and they are both so sweet and helpful with everything! I cannot say enough good things about this place. I would recommend EBC to anyone looking for a place to get married.”– Jordan (Bride)

Who can claim that a Texas wedding with blush hues doesn’t give off romantic vibes? This gives us all the feels! If you love blush hues, get inspired by Jordan’s Bridal bouquet and Bridesmaid’s dresses. Pink is cool-toned, but when you pick various blush colors, they come off as warm and friendly. Did you notice the leather wrap on her bouquet? Jordan had it custom-made – one of the perks of being a cowgirl!
A relaxed country wedding vibe was perfect for this sweet Texas couple and truly made their day extra special. Their ceremony was held in the large outdoor rustic Gazebo with the backdrop of the lake at Emery’s Buffalo Creek. We loved that Jordan and Blake wanted to keep things simple, focusing on sharing the day with their family and friends.
The very cool farmhouse style tables were adorned with an assortment of mini bud vases filled with blush-colored flowers and eucalyptus greenery with a touch of pampas grass. The reception hall’s stone walls and beamed ceilings added a comforting flair to complete their wedding day.
And while we’re at it, be sure to check out our blog on the renovations that made Emery’s a true four-seasons wedding venue here!
It is quite evident from the photos seen here that the party was going down at Jordan and Blake’s wedding. The couple truly enjoyed the day celebrating their love for each other with their family and friends. I don’t think we saw them stop smiling the entire time!
It takes a great DJ to get the party started, and here at Emery’s we have one of the best in the game! DJ John with AccessDJ is Emery’s preferred DJ vendor and is included with our Inclusive packages. He will work with you on selecting the best music to set the tone for your ceremony, reception and party!
And they lived happily ever after… Congrats to Jordan and Blake from everyone here at Emery’s Buffalo Creek! We wish you a lifetime of true happiness, undying romance and lots and lots of beautiful memories for years to come!
