Icy Blues for a Winter wedding at Emery’s Buffalo Creek

Meet Sarah and Jonathan, an upbeat urban couple. We think Sarah’s wedding colors are quite possibly one of the prettiest color palettes for a winter wedding. Sarah chose snow-white, cedar greens, galvanized silver, icy blue with warm pinewood elements. Icy blues for a winter wedding at a cozy venue like Emery’s Buffalo Creek was just perfect. These cool blue colors were a stunning contrast with the warm wood ship-lap walls of our Houston winery wedding venue.

When seeking a wedding venue, the couple searched for a venue that felt like an “escape” yet was still close to home. An hour drive is perfect for a mini destination wedding. Breathtaking views of the rolling countryside sealed the deal for this couple.  Sarah and Jonathan’s  ‘must haves’ for their wedding venue were these three things; they wanted Cozy + Elegant + Easy.  A winter wedding at Emery’s Buffalo Creek fit the bill. This cute December wedding couple could not have loved their magical day more!

The Bride loved the Wedding Planning that was included in the  All-inclusive package

Sarah and Jonathan selected our most popular wedding package which is the All-Inclusive Wedding Package. We worked with them on every aspect of planning their ice blue winter wedding which included several fun meetings! Sarah had a binder full of decor ideas that she brought with her to the very first meeting. Guess what, we had just about all her favorite decor options in our inventory! She had a clear vision of what she wanted her dream day to look like. Her eye was on the details. The EBC planning team enjoyed getting to know this couple. Nevertheless, the EBC team executed the beautiful details for this All-inclusive couple.Beautiful Winter Wedding at Emery's Buffalo Creek | Cozy Houston Wedding Winery Venue Bellville,Tx

A Mod style Bridal dress was perfect for her December Indoor Outdoor Wedding

Sarah may have been sure about her wedding decor but she struggled with finding a wedding dress.  It took a little time but she finally found a dress that suited her to a T. Sarah fell in love with a clean-cut modern style wedding dress. We agree that this dress looked simply stunning on her!  The Brides modern wedding dress was embellished with a simple crystal belt and it completely let her shine as a Bride! We think her dress sealed the deal for this cute bride with her ice blue winter wedding theme.  A nice bonus was that she was able to move freely in her dress throughout the evening.

Icy blue hues come together beautifully at Emery’s Buffalo Creek

On Saturday, December 15, 2018,  Sarah and Johnathan shared in a perfect Winter Wonderland union at Emery’s Buffalo Creek.  We lovingly dubbed Sarah and Jonathan’s wedding design the, “Winter Wonderland Wedding”.  Plenty of  cedar evergreens lined the tables to dress it up. Her silver and ice blue colors were evident in the Bridesmaids dresses and flower bouquets. Fiery embers glowing in the Austin stone fireplaces elevated the rustic ambiance. Since it is Christmas time there must be hints of sparkle of course.  A few glittered branches were spread among the live cedar garlands to add to mood.

Sarah had many unique touches for her wedding. She had a hot chocolate station and a glorious pie bar complete with her grandmother’s famous peanut butter pie. She also had a winter-themed selfie-station for her guest to take photos.  The couple really enjoyed the special dance with their two gold retriever pups!

It was a December wedding day. The weather was simply perfect. Sarah, Jonathan, and all the guest took full advantage of that! The wedding party enjoyed the entire day on-site. The Groom’s party kicked off the day with fishing at the Venues five-acre lake in the winter sun. Later on, they enjoyed games of corn hole on the Firefly Terrace.  The Bride and Bridesmaids pampered themselves with much needed ‘girl time’ in the large Bridal Suite. The pampering commenced with some mimosas in hand while getting ready for the big day!

I urge all of you newly engaged brides to be to not be afraid of the winter months; in Texas it can be absolutely stunning! This wedding was so unique and well done, that it even got a full page article spread in the Houston Chronicles Life Section. We loved getting to see all the pictures in the paper, and how beautifully the paper described Sarah and Johnathan’s Wedding day!

We just love these Winter Weddings here at Emery’s Buffalo Creek.

Happy Wedding Planning,

~Patti, XOXO
