I love it when Brides come to Emery’s Buffalo Creek and say, “I want to make my wedding different; I want my decorations to be unique and not look like other weddings”. To me, this immediately says that we have a bride who is bold, not afraid of taking risks, and one that we can show unique design ideas to! She told us she wanted a peacock wedding at a Texas Wedding venue.
Last year, we had a Bride as such tour our Wedding Winery Venue and booked it for the Fall. Chelsey wanted a unique wedding and showcase a different style. Additionally, the bride wanted to incorporate some of her family history. Her grandparents owned a Peacock Farm which was very special to her. She drew inspiration from the eye of the peacock feather for many design elements of her wedding.
After hearing this, visions of rich purples and blues and fun textures started filling my head. In our first meeting with Chelsey, she immediately indicated that she wanted lots of floral, bright and rich colors, and several hexagon elements incorporated in her wedding.
As her wedding was in the Fall of 2019 her vibrant color scheme was perfect. The Bride was not afraid to add sequins and sparkles to her color rich design. Adding more fun to the peacock theme.
As you can see in the pictures, peacock feathers made an appearance in every floral arrangement and bouquet beautifully crafted by Emery’s own florist, Patti Emanuel. The weather that day was absolutely perfect. A sunny fall day with a light breeze. The couple decided to continue to enjoy the awesome weather by dancing under the stars on our Firefly Terrace. There were many precious heartfelt moments including this father and daughter dance.
It had been quite a while since the team at Emery’s Buffalo Creek had the opportunity to play with such fun colors and design elements. Chelsey was not only drawing on Pinterest for inspiration- she knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to go for it!
Here at Emery’s we urge you to challenge yourself. Do you have a unique idea, but afraid of how it will look? Don’t worry, let us help guide you and make your unique ideas come to life. Give us a challenge; we love it! We aren’t afraid of a challenge and we love when our Brides are equally unafraid. The results as you can see, can be stunning!
We can’t end this blog with showing you some lovely moments captured on David and Chelsey’s wedding day! Look at the ‘first look’ at this ceremony. You can’t repeat this moment EVER.
